Sage Building Solutions was launched in March, 2010 with the intention of utilizing the green building and building science knowledge of founder Doug Poole’s past experience. Sage has built strong relationships with OPALCO and the local energy community with its commitment to bringing the energy load of our community down.
Douglas Poole is principle of Sage Building Solutions. Doug has over 25 years experience in residential construction, both remodel and custom home. He has partnered with county and city governments, along with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, to develop green building programs. He is inspired by the challenges and complexity of buildings, the construction process, and business development.
Coupled with his construction experience, Doug spent four years in Experiential Education working with adult and youth groups on communication skills and team building. He was program and site manager for Pro-Action Associates of Woodside, CA.
Three years ago Doug returned to his childhood home of Lopez to raise his children, ages two and three, and to create a business that will have a positive impact on the people in his community.
